  • Google Meet- link shared in registration email (map)

Hosted by LyVesha Franklin, Founder of Kweens' Kounsel Inc. and Nhatalie Hudson, Doula.

Join us for a powerful, introductory session exploring the realities, root causes, and solutions behind Black maternal health disparities and how community, policy, and practice can drive change.

Statistics:

Black maternal mortality: 50.3 deaths per 100,000 live births — the highest of any racial/ethnic group and more than 3x the rate for White women (14.5), Hispanic women (12.4), and Asian women (10.7). CDC+1

Trend insight: Rates for Black women showed little to no decline when others decreased.

The Birth Network of Monterey County presents a free community parenting series called Parenting 101, or P101, on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 6-7:00pm.Please CLICK HERE TO REGISTER prior to the event.
