I have always loved babies; I sometimes say birth, postpartum, and newborn care are my native languages! As the oldest of six, caring for babies came to me naturally from a very young age. After raising three children of my own to adulthood and years working as a nanny and then as a newborn care specialist, I realized that providing evidence-based support for parents is the most effective way to ensure babies are off to a great start. By combining my birth and postpartum doula support with my expertise in newborn parenting, lactation, and relationship foundations, I offer a unique mentoring and educational approach to supporting new families. Hi, my name is Cori Gentry. I’m a certified childbirth educator, evidence based birth instructor emeritus, and full-spectrum doula supporting all types of families in all types of births since 2012.
My own six births have taught me that the decisions parents make in childbirth are personal and unique to them. I believe parents deserve to learn their options from an objective, experienced instructor, and receive compassionate support throughout that process.

You wouldn’t join the starting line of a race without ever hitting the track to prepare. If you did, you would be in for a rough experience. Birth is no different. You can influence your birth experience by how you prepare for it. Birth Chemistry was created by myself and local midwives to help parents achieve a positive birth experience at the hospital, a birth center, or at home. Shauna is a locally trained Birth and Postpartum Doula offering support to families for hospital and out-of-hospital births. She is trained to mother the mother with Belly Binding, Postpartum Chef Services, Breastfeeding, and Newborn Care.
Childbirth Education
Shauna is locally trained and certified by Lamaze International to provide Childbirth Education classes to those birthing in or out of the hospital. She will guide you through a personalized curriculum to fit your needs and educate you on what you need to know for Childbirth and Postpartum. You will come out of the class feeling confident, knowledgeable and prepared for your journey ahead.

Shauna has taken her love of cooking, background in culinary arts, and passion for the birthing community to offer you personalized chef services. Specially curating nourishing meals for you during your prenatal and postpartum transitions. Nutrient-dense food is important for physical, mental, and emotional recovery and stability during the transitional journey to and through parenthood.
