Parenting 101 - Childbirth Education

  • Google Meet- link shared in registration email (map)

Childbirth Education hosted by Autumn Tattenhan, CD, CLC, NCS & Cori Gentry

Parents can expect us to discuss the importance of taking a childbirth class of their choice that isn't hospital-based, what they should look for in a childbirth class, the different styles of classes, and the various options that are available to them locally, with a resource list handout included, as well as a quick fact sheet. We also plan to talk a little about what each of us does and how they can look beyond just a childbirth class to prepare themselves for birth and prepare their village to support them through this time.

Autumn Bessire Tattenham is a certified fertility coach, a birth and postpartum doula, INA- and CACHE-credentialed newborn care specialist, certified lactation counselor, and Evidence Based Birth® Instructor with decades of experience in perinatal care. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she founded the perinatal support and education company, Sweet Peas, in San Diego before returning north to make the Monterey Peninsula her permanent home, where she now runs the business alongside her daughter, Ella. Together, they offer comprehensive family-building support, from fertility coaching and TTC support through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, newborn care, and lactation, plus education for partners, siblings, and grandparents.
