Hosted by Carly Riley, postpartum doula & Megan Cassamas, mother of three
The Fourth Trimester is a season of recovery, integration, and transition for both Mother and baby. In this training, we explore how nourishing foods, rest, and supportive care can help sustain the Motherbaby dyad during this tender window. By tending to the Mother in this way, we support deep restoration and a strong foundation for the years ahead.
Carly Riley is a postpartum doula devoted to supporting Mothers through the Fourth Trimester with nourishing foods, warming treatments, and intentional care that restores the body while soothing emotional and hormonal shifts, creating space for rest and recovery. Her work grew from her own transition into Motherhood, where she experienced the profound transformation of the postpartum window. She became a certified postpartum doula, deepening her understanding of how nourishment, rest, and loving presence support a Mother’s healing and restoration after birth.
Megan Cassamas is a mother of three, birth doula, somatic sexologist, and pre and postnatal yoga instructor, as well as the founder of MOJA Yoga & Wellness. She has been supporting women and families for over a decade through yoga, birth work, and holistic care. Megan’s work is rooted in embodiment, nervous system awareness, and honoring the full spectrum of the motherhood journey. She is especially passionate about the postpartum window, guiding women through the fourth trimester with practical support, emotional care, and deep reverence for this transformative time.
The Birth Network of Monterey County presents a free community parenting series called Parenting 101, or P101, on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 6-7:00pm.
