I’m Alexandra Beleche of The Essential Mama. I am a birth and postpartum doula, placenta specialist, and photographer. I started my small photography business in 2017 and have been slowly expanding my experience. In 2018 I found that I can put my passion for photography and birth work together – capturing sweet and raw moments in pregnancy, birth, postpartum, newborn, and families. My name is Morgan. Let me tell you a bit about myself before we get to the real nuts + bolts of your questions…
I am an avid hiker and camper, dog lover, and all-around adventure seeker. I am a Texan at heart that just moved back to California but am traveling all over the country in order to make magic happen with my clients. I have two daughters, Everest & Darwin, who came into my world and blew me away with their unconditional love and wild nature. And THAT is what I want to share.
I specialize in Documentary Birth Photography. Birth is one of life’s most precious and treasured gifts we get to experience as humans.
Often, people are hesitant to invite a stranger into their most vulnerable moments and I get that. I also know how fast the day flies by during that time, and you can't fully take it all in after hours of labor because you're swelling with emotional and physical exhaustion. Let me help you. I am here so you can relive the moment you brought your baby into this world. I am here so you don't have to piece together the day. I am also here to show you how strong, powerful, and determined you will be to get your baby earth-side. But I have been there. I have sat in your shoes and birthed two amazingly beautiful girls. And they were the most magical and crazy experiences I have ever been through in my life. I am able to go back and see my photos from that day and re-live that excitement, joy, stress, and LOVE that I was surrounded by. I want to give those magical moments to you, mama.
