Dads of Monterey County is a diverse grassroots community, open to all fathers, who take an active role in their children’s lives. We get together with other dads to talk, hang out, and watch our kids play together.
We are working dads, stay-at-home dads, dads with flexible schedules, work-from-home dads, freelance dads, gay dads, bi dads, trans dads, queer dads, poly dads, dads-to-be, and involved dads who want to socialize and interact with other men who enjoy spending quality time with their children.

PCMC is guided by a set of core values. Parent education is delivered respectfully, is research-based, holistically honors the parent and child, and is appropriate for each age and stage.
Highly qualified parent educators share and model relevant, research-based curriculum in each class, responding to the specific needs of the families in attendance, focusing on building positive relationships and growing healthy, confident children. PAL classes are designed to increase parental resilience, build social connections, share knowledge of parenting and child development, provide concrete support in times of need, and support the development of social and emotional competence in children. Parents who attend PAL classes report feeling more informed, supported, and capable in their role.
PCMC PAL classes are currently the only playgroups on the Monterey Peninsula that are offered at times when working families can attend. Saturday classes allow parents who work full-time during the week to access critical social connections and parenting support, while enjoying time with their young children.

Renee Hardenstein Massage Therapy
Renee Hardenstein, CAMTC
Infant Massage & Infant Massage Instruction
Infant massage is a tool we can use to connect deeply with our baby. It allows us the opportunity to listen to them not just with our ears but with our whole being. It helps us practice being present, meeting their needs, teaching them self-regulation, and playing with and enjoying one another. Current research is showing us that infant massage has lasting positive impacts on our baby’s developing brain and body.
